造梦师手记：小显存用户不会被抛弃，Stable Diffusion的无限未来

SDXL1.0发布以来，几乎每天都有新的模型出现，我几乎夜以继日的下载、练习、测试这些模型。和Stable Diffusion1.5相比，XL最大的特点，是更容易“听”懂人类的语言。

使用简单的翻译软件，把我们的意图表达清楚，不需要刻意的优化提示词，SDXL就可以输出抓住要素的画面。

为了测试SDXL是否有更加强大的自然语言理解能力，我做了个测试：输入一段英文诗歌，看看它输出什么。

诗歌选取了我最喜欢的诗人叶芝的《莎莉花园》，叶芝是爱尔兰诗人，曾经获得过诺贝尔文学奖，他的诗歌意境优美。

Down by the Salley Gardens, my love and I did meet.

She passed the Salley Gardens, with little snow-white feet.

She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree.

But I being young and foolish, with her would not agree.

In a field by the river, my love and I did stand.

And on my leaning shoulder, She laid her snow-white hand.

这段诗歌就不详细解释了，CET-4选手都能读懂，大致意思是怀念和女孩在花园的点点滴滴。

没有做任何提示词的优化，SDXL的输出是这样的：

很显然它“理解”了这首诗，它甚至选取了那个时代的绘画特点，带有一点油画风格。

炼丹群的朋友说，自从升级了SDXL，就没有使用过旧版模型。原因就是：SDXL太懂了。

我在测试刚刚发布的dreamshaper的XL模型时，意外地发现，作者一边迭代XL的模型，还同步更新了一版SD1.5用的模型（我猜是训练的时候闲着也是闲着，用另一台机器处理的），把dreamshaper7升级到了dreamshaper8。

作者把8横过来，称之为dreamshaper V∞ 。

∞是无限的意思，这就意味深长。

这个版本的内容简介是这样的：

大家好,我亲爱的*AI艺术*爱好者们。第8版刚刚发布。
你喜欢带有∞符号的封面吗?这个版本对我来说意义非凡。
DreamShaper起初是为了在开源世界中成为MidJourney的另一个选择而创建的模型。当我刚开始时,我不喜欢MJ的处理方式,以及它是多么封闭,而且现在仍然如此,以及它相比SD给用户的自由度缺乏。看看我们现在拥有的所有工具,从TIs到LoRA,从ControlNet到Latent Couple。我们可以做任何事情。DreamShaper的目的一直是制作一个“更好的稳定扩散”,一个能够自己做到一切的模型,来“编织梦想”。

dreamshaper直译是梦想塑造者，其实也可以翻译成造梦师，和我的想法不谋而合。

SDXL对于普通用户最大的门槛，是显存。SD1.5只需要4G显存就可以跑起来，8G显存就能很好的AI绘图了，而SDXL对显存要求非常高，8G入门都很吃力，我的12G显卡不再是“大平层”了，换显卡已经提上日程。

不是所有人会为了AI绘画而去购买新显卡，所以SD1.5依然还会有众多的拥护者。至少dreamshaper的作者，并没有放弃这些用户。

我下载了这个“无限”版本的dreamshaper，惊讶的发现，作者在忙着更新XL的同时，这个版本依然保持了极高的水准。

1、梦想之地
