Sam Altman, founder of OpenAI, one of the world's most prominent (著名的)AI companies, and the maker of ChatGPT, announced his return to the company as CEO on Nov. 22.

On Nov. 17, due to a dispute (争论)over the potential (潜在的)risk of OpenAI's technology, the company's board (公司或机构的董事会、委员会)decided to dismiss (免职)Altman as CEO.
11月17日，由于在公司技术潜在风险的问题上产生分歧，公司董事会决定罢免奥特曼的首席执行官职务。
The abrupt (突然的) ouster (罢免)sent the company into chaos (混乱). After days of intense (激烈的) negotiations (谈判)inside the company and under the outside pressure from OpenAI's biggest investor Microsoft, and a threat by nearly all of the employees to quit, the company finally reinstated (使恢复原职)Altman.
突如其来的罢免使整个公司陷入混乱。经过数日紧张的内部谈判，在来自公司最大投资方微软的外部施压与几乎所有员工的辞职威胁之下，OpenAI最终宣布恢复奥特曼的职位。

SpaceX's giant Starship met another explosive (爆炸的)end during its second test flight on Nov. 18.
SpaceX的超大型火箭“星舰”在11月18日的第二次试飞中，再次以爆炸收尾。
The rocket blasted off (点火起飞)from the company's Starbase launch site near Boca Chica in Texas. Starship successfully separated (分离) from the "Super Heavy" booster (推进器) as planned, but the first-stage rocket's automatic termination (终止)system activated (激活), causing an explosion. Shortly afterwards, SpaceX announced that it could not find a signal from the Starship spacecraft. The company believes the rocket's self-destruction mechanism (机械装置、机制)was set off after it lost the signal.
这枚火箭在SpaceX公司位于得克萨斯州博卡奇卡附近的“星际基地”发射场点火升空。“星舰”按照计划成功脱离了“超重”助推器。但是，一级火箭的自动终止系统被触发，从而发生了爆炸。之后，SpaceX很快宣布无法接收到来自“星舰”的信号。公司推测，火箭可能在失联之后启动了自毁系统，已经损毁。

As winter approaches (接近), in order to ensure a safe and improved working environment for its delivery drivers, Chinese major meal delivery company Meituan has allocated (分配)a total of 1.7 billion yuan for winter subsidies (补贴). This fund (专款、基金)is to guarantee (保障)fair compensation (补偿)for drivers' hard work during winter times.
随着冬季的到来，为了保证外卖骑手的安全并提升其工作舒适度，中国经营餐饮外卖的主要企业之一美团划拨了17亿元人民币作为冬季补贴。这笔款项将用于保障骑手在严冬的天气下劳有所得。
The company has also distributed (分配、派发)winter gear (装备)such as windshields for e-scooters, handlebar covers, gloves, knee pads, and insulated (有隔热保护的)cups to delivery staff with an upgraded emergency response mechanism for adverse (不利的、有害的)weather conditions. Under the mechanism, during extreme weather conditions such as snowstorms and strong winds, Meituan dynamically (动态地)adjusts delivery radius (半径)to minimize the outdoor time of delivery drivers.
公司还为骑手们准备了电动车挡风被、车把套、手套、护膝、保温杯等防寒装备，并升级了针对恶劣天气的应急机制。在这一机制下，在暴风雪、大风等极端天气情况下，美团会动态调整配送半径，以缩短骑手暴露在户外的时间。
